I noticed that it is now possible to have the "erotica" genre without the "Pornography" objectionable content description (which was formerly "Adults Only" when they were age ratings). I'm noticing what I think are two errors with searching related to this.
First, if I go to genre search and leave "All Ages", "Older Children", "Teenagers", and "Mature" selected, but don't select "Adult Only", and then search for "erotica", no results will be provided. However, if I uncheck any of the age ratings besides "Mature", then search for "erotica", I see the titles that have the "erotica" genre but the "Intense" (i.e. "Mature") objectionable content rating. Selecting "Adults Only" on the search page and leaving the other four age ratings checked will also cause the non-pornography "erotica" anime to show up in the search (along with all the pornography ones). So they are correctly picked up in the search if any combination of age ratings are selected which include "Mature", except for the combination of "All Ages", "Older Children", "Teenagers", and "Mature". The other issue I'm seeing may be working as intended, but I'm not sure. If you click on any of the genres or themes from the page for an anime with the "erotica" genre, it will display only other anime with the genre/theme you clicked on and the "erotica" genre, while if you click on a genre/theme for a non-erotica anime, it will only show other non-erotica anime. I was thinking this should instead be tied to the objectionable content rating, such that the non-pornography anime with the "erotica" genre should be grouped with the rest of the "Intense" objectionable content anime and not with the pornography. Anyway, if these are known issues or working as intended, them I'm sorry for wasting your time. |

It wasn't related to the change from "Adults Only" to "Pornography", but yeah it makes more sense to have the objectionable content value override the erotica theme. So that's fixed. Nice job spotting that.

The second issue I reported seems to be fixed, but the first one still isn't working correctly for me. If I go to the genre search page, select the "erotica" genre without making any other changes to what is selected, and then click search, it gives 0 results, even though there are anime that should show up with that search. Those anime will show up if I make an additional change to which check boxes are selected (e.g. selecting an additional genre or theme).

If I go to the genre search page and select the erotica genre, the Pornography tag becomes checked on, and the resulting search yields 687 results. If I uncheck the Pornography tag, the resulting search has 4 results. What is your result's url?

I get this. I think that is the same as your second URL, except that mine has "fast" where yours has "admin". However, for me the pornography tag did not become checked when I checked the erotica tag, so I didn't have to uncheck it.
Edit: This is kind of odd, but I was sure your URL had "admin" in it when I looked at it before, but now when I look at it, it seems to have "fast" in it. Maybe that is because I logged out and back in, to see if the search worked while I was logged out (it still didn't work when logged out)? Regardless, when I click on your first link, I get 687 results, but when I click on your second link, I get 0. |

Ah, the result was cached for 24 hours, that's why you were still getting the old result.
