More like 12 official and 2 limited edition OAD episodes. Like what Negima, xxxHOLiC and TRC did with their manga. You have to pay extra to see those babies.

I think it is more comparable to the OVA episodes of AIR and other series. The Kodansha OADs weren't directly related to their TV counterparts were published with the manga, not as an extra on the series DVDs.
