Looking for short shonen title

Howdy!

I'm looking to get a small volume shonen title but I can't find one. All the popular ones seem to be 15+ while I want one in the 5 volume range or so. I'm also looking for a title that is not based on an anime. I know Trigun and Infinite Ryvius are short but they loose a lot when written as a manga.

If anybody has any good recommendations, I'd like to hear it. There are just too many shonen titles that have never finished out there.
