The Summer season is not even over, but already there's a Fall preview going around. I thought folks here would be interested as well.

Fall 2009 preview image v2 (warning: huge)

For comparison, ANN's list of upcoming TV series.

So, what do y'all look forward to? What do you think will be good, bad or ugly?

Personally, only Sasameki Koto (homepage) catches my interest. It looks like it will be a nice yuri (maybe even lesbian?) anime. The manga got good reviews over at Okazu at least.
Darker Than Black and To Aru.. might be good too, but they're sequels that I haven't seen the originals of yet.
Interesting to see a Chinese/Japanese cooperation of another Three Kingdoms anime. It's probably just guys with swords running around, but real-world politically it's nice to see such a cooperation. I wonder what the art will be like.

So far the only one that I can guarantee that I'll probably like is Kuchu Buranko, because it's got much of the same staff that handled Mononoke and I loved that show. I'm also interested in Kimi ni Todoke and possibly Kobato, but I think a lot of the others will have to wait until I can see an episode or two.

Armed Librarians looks like it might be fun. I'm looking forward to the DtB sequel. Other than that, nothing jumps out at me. Some of the school/slice of life shows may be ok. I'll have to wait for reviews on those. Interested in the show by the Mononoke crew as well, though the description sounds weird.

Wow, I knew librarians could be sexy, but I never knew they needed to be armed. I guess its a very dangerous line of work, after all. Your days are spent quietly shelving books in climate-controlled rooms, interacting with old ladies and young children, and hosting book clubs. Man, that's a life lived on the edge.

As for Letter Bee, what an awful synopsis. The sun just cannot flicker out, and even if it did the human race would shortly follow anyway. We're not exactly adapted to live without light and food and heat. As post-apocalyptic scenarios go it's one of the worst (in terms of concept) I've ever heard.

Wait, InuYasha is back? For real? Gack. Why even watch the Anime - likely to go on for at least two full seasons (fifty-two episodes) - when you can just read the Manga?

Ha, you should read the graphic novel Rex Libris. All sorts of dangers that librarians face. Like evil samurai demons trying to check out books.

So, of course, being in the library field, Armed Librarians looks like it could be good and/or fun.

Also interested in Kimi no Todoke, since I want to read that manga as well, Darker than Black sequel, Kuchu Buranko, since Mononoke is my most wanted license, and maybe Fairy Tail.

Trapeze looks interesting and Darker Than Black, Armed Librarians and Kimi no Todoke might be good, but otherwise it's a pretty sorry looking lot. Even Manglobe's new series looks completely uninteresting.

Generally I don't like to be one to "judge a book by its cover" but I'll just go ahead and say looks like this fall lineup is going to give me plenty of time to catch up on some gaming >_>

Last year there was an anime Library War. Its synopsis sounds just as silly.

Well, it does say it is an artificial sun, ne?

Did you notice the "Final Act" part of the title?

Ugh, what a silly shounen-full season. Not to mention the usual useless moe oveload>___< There's a few to try, but few I'm looking forward to - the White Album S2 is the only one actually.

I guess I'll give Trapeze and Kobato a try, as well as the Jungle Emperor. I'll watch Arashi if I like S1 when I finally get to it. If I get to and like the first season of To Aru, then I might catch season 2 sometime... I'll give Winter Sonata an episode or two to see whether it is or isn't a cliche boring romance/drama.

Well, there's still the Eden movie, but I wonder how long that takes to be localized/fansubbed.

The rest, ladies and gentleman, looks like crap, in my eyes at least. Seems to be getting worse every season. I'm not going to even bother with DTB2, since S1 was only barely above average, and didn't leave much room for a sequel, so it's going to be the usual crappy backwriting and limping storyline, like the stupendous in its stupidity Shana2.

As for series that I'll definitely be watching, probably Kimi no Todoke even though the manga is just being released over here. I've heard such good things about the manga that I hope the anime does it justice. I'll also probably be watching Trapeze because I need something very strange after finishing Kaiba and I'm hoping that will do the trick.

I will give Romance of the Three Kingdoms a try, along with Armed Librarians for fun (David is that new company that did Ristorante Paradiso, right?) and The Sacred Blacksmith even though it looks pretty bland. Sasameki Koto might be good if it doesn't try too hard to be full of moe; I've never heard of the manga, so I don't have any idea the direction the story goes in. Kobato looks very... innocent, I suppose.

In all likely hood, I'll give each show a shot only because I wouldn't want to miss out. After a week or two I will drop around three fourths of the shows, though.

For a moment, just a moment, I saw the title Armed Librarians and was wondering (hoping) if it was somehow Library Wars-related because I would've loved to see more of that one. But no. Anyway, I'm only looking at the Darker Than Black sequel (and of course Hetalia's continuation). Seriously, a good lot of those pictures I can't even tell apart (so many girls with long hair, bows, etc). Great for those of you who enjoy those shows but I for one have really been having little-to-no luck finding interesting titles for quite a few seasons now. Just have to wait for trends to shift, I suppose. Maybe winter will be better.

Edit: Oh, almost forget Miracle Train (you know, the one with bishonen incarnations of train stations). That starts sometime in October too. Still a pretty sparse season though, as far as I'm concerned.

Fairy tail and Letter bee are the 2 animes I want to watch. I think Fairy tail is going to be interesting or at least fun to watch I mean there's 130+ chapters giving them room at this point to make a filler free anime.

Also it's not listed on here but Negima!: Another World OVAs
Can't wait to see how Shaft handles more manga of Negima to a OVA format again.

Just Kobato and Inuyasha. It seems that every new season, I'm finding fewer and fewer anime that catch my interest (that, and they production is of course, sliming down >_>). Meh, I guess only 1-2 anime per season so that works out. Especially for someone who also games and stuff, its easier to fit everything in^^

I'm really looking forward to these two. Its sad that I just HAD to peek at the last chapter of Inuyasha because "it'll never be animated >_>"... now I know not to spoil myself, because you just never know! And I don't think ANYONE was expecting this! (Mostly because some series, like Fruits Basket and Bouken Ou Beet, ends where it is and doesn't continue...)

This looks like it's going to be an interesting season. There are allot of titles on that list that seem good. But by far the high light for me will be the new Darker Than Black. I hope it turns out as good as the first season.
