Hey everyone, I was hoping maybe you guys could give me some recommendations on what I might like. I'm running out of anime to watch and looking for new stuff
I definitely prefer high-school settings as well. Other comedy/romances I've seen and really enjoyed in the past: Da Capo Kare Kano Maburaho Green Green Negima School Rumble Any recommendations would be greatly appreciated! Thanks

'Oh! My Goddess' OVA and Movie is a requirement of any romance collection.
As old as it is, I really have a soft spot for the Tenchi Muyo! OVA ('Ryo-Ohki'). If you don't mind a little bit of action, I really enjoyed the 'Saber Marionette series'/OVA/Movie. |

The only one I can think of off the top of my head is Gravitation. As long as you don't mind shounen ai then I'd recommend it.

Super Gals! is my favourite anime series in years, and, while there are romantic elements (more amongst the supporting cast), it is in no way a typical shoujo series where the main female character is some blushing rose always whining about her boyfriend.

I've seen Fruits Basket, Ai Yori Aoshi(Enishi too), Please Teacher, and Strawberry Eggs already. Will look into the others, please keep them coming ^^

Another one you might try is Marmalade Boy. I haven't seen the anime but the manga is entertaining. There are some love triangles and strange situations ( the two main characters parents swap partners) and the characters are mostly highschoolers. If the anime is like the manga is should be along the lines of what you're looking for.

Mahoromatic would make a good consideration. The genre is kinda mixed though. It is indeed a comedy/romance though, as well as some sci-fi/action in it as well.
Comic Party is somewhat of a streatch in terms of romance, but it's pretty good as well. The jokes are more geared towards poking fun at the anime and manga industry, and definently doujinshi. But it's worth a look as well. |

My personal favorites are Full Metal Panic! and Full Metal Panic? Fumoffu. They aren't romantic comedies in the traditional sense, but they are both very good.

Some others that come to mind are Ranma 1/2 - some romance and lots of comedy Oh! My Goddess! - who doesn't love it |

It has a weird premise, but it's VERY well executed. I remember my sister laughing so hard when spoiler[Seiji passed out from drunkeness so Midori tries to take care of the house.] Though you might have to wait until Media Blasters releases the DVDs.

For outright comedy, you can't go wrong with Azumanga Daioh. A couple of cute-as-anything girls (especially Chiyo-chan), 2 wacky teachers (O.K., one is wacky and the other is her foil), and jokes about school life and anything else in between.
For romance, I wanted to highly recommend Ai Yori Aoshi and AYA Enishi, but you've already seen them. They're my favourite romance anime ever. You might want to give Boys Be a try. I know it's kinda old but it's still good. Other than these, I can't remember anything else off hand. |
