It's only embarrassing when they're Westerners like you! Laughing

I don't get what they're trying to go for with this ad... making fun of the people who play their games? Or making fun of foreigners who like their games?

Self-deprecating humor is popular with Japanese otaku on the internet.

Beyond that, showing white guys excited for a gal-game is inherently funny because of the image mismatch of something that normally only a relatively small group of Japanese people are into. It's like why people find Old Grandma Hardcore amusing.

I could see foreign otaku like this for Idolmaster, but for Dream Club? Well, I guess anything is possible. Still, there's no denying that Dream C Club is pretty much the red-headed stepchild of these 3d anime-girls err, 'raising simulations' when compared to Love Plus and the aforementioned Idolmaster. All the im@s team would have to do is announce a Cinderella Girls game and the yen would just come pouring in. Hell, it probably is already pouring in with just the mobile game version. The video also really overestimates a foreign otaku's Japanese ability with the slang. Though I did find it funny how they managed to completely botch how the names Haruka and Asuka are enunciated.

Hmmmm, I remember seeing these girls in some doujinshi. Didn't think it was a game.

And my god this was just embarrassing to watch.

Forget that. They used the wrong kanji reading for Mt. Fuji. XDDD

I needed a good laugh and this hit the spot. If the game were in English, I'd buy it.
