Anyone know where I can get scans of it? My local Japanese bookstore only has the first couple of books.

i don't think you're suppose to request for scan/fansub and anything like that.

If your local store doesn't have the books, you could always order them online from a site like amazon.co.jp or sasugabooks.com...

It isn't licensed. And I would consider sasugabooks, but the shipping costs would kill me

Uh, yes it IS licensed. Viz has it in Shonen Jump and has released a few books so far as well.
Unless you're implying you don't live in the states... then I don't know the status of it in whatever country you're in.

According to the Rules, you Cannot request or supply scans/scanlations or raw/fan-subbed materials at all.
You cannot provide URLs to sites that hold them, either on the forum or via PM.
The penalty for infraction: Permanent Banning.
I'd advise the following:
Request the ISBN of the volumes you want.
Enter that on the Amazon.co.jp site.
Pay for it, and wait for delivery
You'll need to register first, though.
