Anyone know where I can get scans of it? My local Japanese bookstore only has the first couple of books.

If your local store doesn't have the books, you could always order them online from a site like amazon.co.jp or sasugabooks.com...

It isn't licensed. And I would consider sasugabooks, but the shipping costs would kill me

Uh, yes it IS licensed. Viz has it in Shonen Jump and has released a few books so far as well.
Unless you're implying you don't live in the states... then I don't know the status of it in whatever country you're in. |

According to the Rules, you Cannot request or supply scans/scanlations or raw/fan-subbed materials at all.
You cannot provide URLs to sites that hold them, either on the forum or via PM. The penalty for infraction: Permanent Banning. I'd advise the following: Request the ISBN of the volumes you want. Enter that on the Amazon.co.jp site. Pay for it, and wait for delivery
