Hey,
Recently, I've been hearing about all the different shounen-ai manga coming out in America and it made me wonder if there were any shoujo-ai or yuri titles that have been translated. Does anyone know any?
I've heard of Works...but that's about it.

Thanks! Wink

One manga title that comes to mind is PAROS NO KEN.

(In this case,it means Sword of Paros,not Fist of Paros.)

I'm not positive but there is two title thats is coming froming ADV that might consider Yuri or shoujo-ai.The first one is Eidron Shadow which I believe have alot of girl on girl action(some consider it yuri hental) and the second is Lilth in Wonderland(which is Yami to boushi to honnotabibito if the description is right) which the girl and girl romantic love.

Who knows maybe ADV is trying to find to there is any yuri and shoujo-ai fan here.

The only title I can think of that sort of fits what you're looking for is Revolutionary Girl Utena. I haven't read all of the manga, but the anime it's based on it rich in girl on girl hints, and has several lesbian characters. Viz is about to release the Adolesence of Utena manga, based on the movie, which is more open about Utena and Anthy's relationship.

Hmm, the only manga I've read that would be classified as yuri/shoujo-ai is Between the Sheets by Erika Sakurazawa. It's not a masterpiece by any means, but it's worth a read.

Utena is a great series, but it is, as mentioned, fairly subtle as far as its lesbian subtext goes.

Confidential Confessions also has a girl/girl chapter in one of the later volumes.

Oniisama e has shoujo ai overtones.

I love Confidential Confessions. I read that shoujo-ai story and it was really weird/good. I loved it.

Thank you for giving me another suggestion. <(Anime smile)>

Fushigi Yuugi !
Miaka Yūki is a junior-high student desperate to pass the entrance exam for the illustrious Jonan High School. Her best friend, Yui Hongo is a straight 'A' genius applying for the same school, and her mother is pushing her also in an attempt to see Miaka gets the best education available, although Miaka would rather attend Yotsubadai High School and not go through all of the stress. The result is Miaka is constantly under pressure to study and attends juku (cram school) every day, when she’d rather be with her friends and eating. While Yui is returning a book in the library, Miaka drops a coin by the food machine (in the anime). When she reaches down for it, Suzaku appears before her and leads her into the Restricted Section. As the girls go through the books, Miaka stumbles across The Universe of the Four Gods and both girls start to read. In a flash of bright red light, the two girls are then sucked into the book-world, and are saved from assault by a man with (鬿 Oni?) written on his forehead, who is later revealed to be Tamahome. Just then, Yui is sucked back into the real world and she continues reading the book to help progress the story. Miaka, now stuck in the book, runs into a gang looking to sell her to a brothel. Tamahome steps in and helps her again, and in trying to repay him, gets them into a sticky situation with the Emperor’s men. They tried to escape the dungeon, only to come across the Emperor, Hotohori himself, who explains that they believe Miaka is the legendary Priestess of Suzaku (Suzaku no Miko), a girl from another world who will gather Konan’s Celestial Warriors and summon the phoenix god, Suzaku. Doing so will grant her the power to grant any three wishes. Miaka decides to accept the responsibility. Soon Miaka and company are setting out across Konan in search of her celestial warriors. The series describes their travels and their adventures along the way to summoning Suzaku, enduring various trials along the way, both quest-driven and personal. Miaka however has little knowledge of what happend to Yui. Yui, who was sucked into the book soon after helping Miaka escape it briefly, has assumed the mantle of Kutō (or "Qu Dong" in the manga)'s priestess of Seiryū, Suzaku no Miko's deadly enemy.

Might as well ask here. Please read all of it.

I dont read much shoujo ai but I want to start reading more of them.

I'm looking for one that fits these catergories:
-Are there any shoujo styled shoujo ai? Meaning shoujo ai with shoujo art and something a girl can enjoy. I dont want it to be a pure fanservice series but instead one with a good plot and likeable characters. I accept josei shoujo ai as well.

-I would hope its at least 2 volumes or more. But I will read shorter ones if they are that good.

-It can be old or new. I dont care. But I want it complete so I can read it all in one shot without having to wait for releases.

- Happy ending

Please dont mention Utena-I read some of it. The relationships are a little too messy for my taste. I'll save it for later. Also dont mention a harem or anything like that. I want a good story about two girls who love each other. Plain and simple.

..sorry if I'm picky. Sad I hope someone can help me.

It does not have to be licensed. I dont care either or.

Seven Seas has licensed several yuri tiles.

Kashimashi
First Love Sisters
Voieceful
Last Uniform
Strawberry Panic

I'd recommend Kashimashi the most.

I also hear that Maka Maka (very explicit) has been licensed, but I forget by who.

Mmm~ Well I recommend the following:

1. Strawberry Panic
2. Maria-sama ga miteru
3. Steel Angel Kurumi 1 and 2 (2 is more 'shoujo ai' favored)
4. Yami to Boushi (Warning: Sad ending)
5. Maze (Theres a character in there that falls for the female maze)
6. Candy Boy (I never would have guessed this was a yuri.)
7. Miyuki-chan in Wonderland (LOVE the artwork/ CLAMP)
8. Mai-Hime/-Otome/-Sifr OVA
9. Koihime musuo
10. Uta-kata (C-U-T-E)

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
If anyone knows anymore would you please notify me? Im not really picky~ But I do have something against it having a sad ending. Its not 'bad' but its rare that a yuri/shoujo ai has a happy ending.
=^-^= {Please and thank youuu!!!!)
