Now you too can have a girl as your very own pet!

I can't even muster enough interest to get outraged at this.

Because she's a really smart girl who doesn't know how to take care of her own living space? There are real people out there who suffer from the same problem.

Well, before you guys get outraged at what might appear to be blatant sexism, it's interesting to note both the director and scriptwriter for this series are female.
I'm actually looking forward to seeing how this show turns out.

The problem is that some people won't look past the whole "master and "pet" thing when reading the synopsis. From what I can gleam from non-spoiler tidbits around the intarwebs, the novel is pretty cute.

I was holding my judgement on this show until I saw it ever since I first heard about the premise in the vaguest way (girl becomes guy's pet). I read what this article said about it though, and I don't think I'm going to have a problem with it.
If there's something to get morally offended about, I think it will be the more general "moe=sexism" issues and the particulars of how she and her relationship with the dude is portrayed. I can certainly see how some people may not exactly be thrilled with her personality and her apparently lacking the capacity to take care of herself in the most basic ways. Can't get enough of a grasp on her character from the preview to know how I'll feel about it.
It looks like the pet thing is being done in a way that will pretty much neuter any of its offensiveness except for people that will be offended by it no matter what it does. Granted, that's based entirely on what I got out of the preview and I reserve my right to change my opinion on all of that once I see the show, as its more than possible it could do something to make it more offensive than it seems in the preview and description.

If you're not interested, why bother posting a comment? You might as well save everybody some time and ignore this comment section.
