ok to start off i have no clue what the name of this anime is i saw it once a long time ago i think it was in the late 80s early 90s i think it was being shown on hbo or showtime some kinda ppv channel i think they were running a special at the time on animation from japan from what i remeber it kinda reminds me of megaman the main character was a half robot half human cyborg and i think he might have even had a robot dog too but im not to sure and they had to of course save a post apocoliptic earth from it was either aliens or robots and im almost positive that at the end of the movie the main character dies after the final battle

that about all i remember from the anime at the time i thought it was amazing and I've been searching for it for quite some time i hope u guys here can help me out

Heh. You managed to write that entire post touching only the letter keys. Nice. Anyways, it could be Kikaider you're refering to, but that doesn't really fit with the post-apocalypse theme. Exactly how old-school is this particular anime? We talkin' Thundercats-era or somewhere in the DBZ-esque realm? If you can narrow it down to a particular art style or decade of production, it'd be easier to tell 'ya what you saw. Wink

An early '90s show about a cyborg with a robot dog fighting giant robots in a post apocalyptic future? That sounds like Casshan to me. Probably the OAV.

This is a step in the right direction, but don't quit now; you're halfway to making punctuation your friend! *Learn the ('), respect the (').*
