i thought i was really going to enjoy this show, but so far it sucks pretty bad. the voice acting is atrocious.
i have a feeling the show is going to flop on Adult Swim
EDIT dear god! this really is awful. i don't know if the 100% whole version is better, but this just doesn't cut it.

Guess this is what we get when we cry for "Accuracy" in Anime, devoid of stupid American Reference and the like.
.......
F***, this was some good S***!! Hopefully it can stand up to garbage in AS.

this show sucks in english.
I predict a huge drop in its ratings. pretty fast.
It just loses something even thu the dub there showing is a pretty direct translation of the japanese, and the You Dumbass sounds really crappy compared to the Japanese versions Bakatsura!!! (Sp?).

How do I describe this show
You know what, forget it, no comment.
I've said everything I want to say at the [adult swim] boards, I've said everything I want to say at the BinaryCulture boards, no more . . .
No comment at all.

See, I have no qualms with American references or fourth wall tearings in anime as long as they're done intermittently. The problem is that most animes that use references overuse them.

In any case, Super Milk Chan is one of those series that REQUIRES American references in the dub. Unless you've lived in Japan and watched TV there since the 70's, you are not going to get much of any of the cultural references. Sadly, your going to get the dub of that version.
And, trust me, the Japanese version isn't any better than the dubbed version you witnessed on AS. The Japanese voice actors talk very very very very slow. You'll be bored to tears.

The show so far is hit or miss with me.
Some of the voice acting is not so stellar and this is coming from ADV. The robot butler started to get very annoying in the show thanks to the help of Rial.
Still, the punk who wanted BELGIAN WAFFLES!!! so badly was funny.

Comparing the airing of Milk-chan last night to the NewType USA free DVD of the Americanized version of Milk-chan was actually better than this was despite its vulgarity.

This could hurt the chances for other comedy animes to air in AS.

Ah...damn. I'm hoping they'll get Sakigake!! Cromartie High somewhere down the line, I think it'd fit perfectly into their lineup. Missed the premeire (fell asleep before it started), any chance of it being reshown?
