I didn't know where else to put this.

So I got Black Cat recently, and on disc 4, on the bottom, I don't know how to describe it, you know the part underneath that's the smaller circular part where the DVD rests on the spindle? It's the non-shiny circle that's smaller in comparison to where the actual data is stored. There was some slight clear plastic excess on that part. The DVD should be fine as long as it isn't on the readable part itself, right (which it is not in this case)?

Not only should your dvd be fine, but it has happened to me many times and never created any problems.

The only potential problem is if your DVD player is VERY sensitive to the disc being poorly balanced, but that's a problem with the player, not the disc.

Generally with a commercial dvd if there are some imperfections in the reflective layer or the read side it shouldn't affect the players ability to read it-I have some dvds that look like the reflective layer is not uniform or that the clamp area right by the hole has what look like like bubbles in it and they all work perfectly well.
