Maybe now that they're under new management, we can convince them to START DUBBING THEIR FREAKIN' SHOWS.

NIS has said time and time again that that would cost too much money to be worthwhile.

Reading through the article notices it mentions comics & novels. Would love to see NISA localize the Disgaea 2 Manga (pick-up Broccolis slack) and the Disgaea Light Novels eventually.
Probably won't happen, but meh, a guy can dream!

I'd actually love to have that.

Wait, so does this mean that NISA is basically giving up on releasing anime?

Really, the only chance I see of this happening is if Toonami got big enough to foot (at least part of)the bill - and I don't see them being interested in too many of NISA's titles.

I'm not sure where you are getting that conclusion from, but boy do I ever hope you are wrong.

???
"While continuing to prioritize quality game software, we began to actively pursue bringing other forms of quality entertainment to our fans and customers. These forms include comic books, anime, music, movies, novels and mobile games. Going forward, NISA will strive to please as many customers and fans as possible by bringing all of these forms of entertainment to them in accordance with the spirit of this corporate philosophy."

@ Shiroi Hane - while I'm still curious where _V_ is getting his interpretation from, quoting a press release isn't necessarily a great rebuttal. Companies say all sorts of things all the time in press releases that don't necessarily reflect reality. I'm reading between the lines here, but I wonder if _V_ is thinking that the fact the president of the Japanese parent is taking over NIS America (while presumably hanging onto his current job?) as opposed to having two people do the separate jobs may mean there won't be as much attention paid to NIS's non-core activities (i.e. anime?).
