So far, so good. (hopefully, the anime is good too and stays true to the manga) Here's some of my theories for the series:
It's possible that if they pull the old "End up with the girl you'd least expect" thing, it'll be Anya. If you think about it, she hardly appears in the series. She only appears in his flashbacks. It's a possibility they'll put him and her together thorugh some plot twist or something. If it's not Anya, it could also be Evangeline or Chachamaru.
Another theory could be that Asuna is actually Negi's sister, which would be creepy because of all the inuendo that happened between them.
I heard some theories about Takahata-sensei being the " de-aged" version of the old guy Nagi traveled with. I think this might be true since I see a lot of similarites between the two.
What do you guys think?

Really I dont know but from the other works of Ken Akamatsu such a love hina I believe he will probably end up with asuna or maybe no-one or maybe he will in the end use some potion to make him self asuna's age. The reason I believe it is asuna(asuna is the main girl character more or less(the orphan one right?) the one since in love hina the whole story focuses on Naru and Keitaro. Currently the same seems to be happening in Negima but hey you never know.

It's still too early to tell; after all he's got, what, 31 girls in his class?! That leaves a lot of room for choices.
I've only have volume 3 of the american releases, and haven't seen any of the japanese versions, so I'm sure the story is much more evolved in Japan.
If I were a betting person, I'd go with Asuna-san (and the theory about her being his sister sends chills up my spine, concidering how they negotiate their second contract in volume 3 ).
He seems to interact with Nodoka quite a bit as well, not to mention Konoka, so those two are high up in the running in my list also.

I was surprised at how Del Rey handled the that scene. After all, I never expected the same guys who tried to edit it to add more inuendo to the manga.

I just hope it comes out better than love hina did when they made it an anime. That didn't work out to well.

The way I see it, it's going to stick with all of the other formulas in Ken Akamatsu's works. Basically when you open the front page of the manga, the first girl you see within a 2 foot radius of the protagonist is the one he's gonna end up with, ya dig?
Not to say that I don't like that, but it's usually how it goes. That aside, I don't really care. Ken Akamatsu is a harem master and I can't wait to see what he does with Negima...er, well...already did, seeing as how Negima is already done in Japan.

Negima is done? its only 7 volumes? Unless they released an 8th...then again, im not quite sure how many books are in the series...anyone know?
But if not, then they left a LOT of questions unanswered, over half the cast got barely any screen time in that case. i HOPE im missing something...one of the more interesting character designs imo is #31 Zazie Rainyday. If you look at the first picture in the book, between the prolouge and the start of the actual story, you see her in the background with crazy hands looking all cool and evil and stuff. And also, anytime you see her in the manga (which is RARE, she's only mentioned ONCE, and thats in the 4th manga) she always has a bird with her and she's never said anything...and thats just ONE character...LingShen is also an interesting character, but they at least like, give her a lot of face time...
anywho, generally, yeah if it follows the Love Hina path, Negi will end up with Asuna. Anya is an interesting theory on who he'll end up with. I mean, we barely know her, aside from those 2 pages in the beginning of the first book and the one part where he thinks of her ONCE. Evangaline, doubtful, she doesnt seem to care about love. Chachamaru is a robot, that would just be a little TOO strange. A 10 year old English Magician Teacher and a Japanese Robot Student in his English Class. The thing is, as far as i know in the manga, Nodoka is the only one who has actual feelings for Negi, the other girls think he's cute cause he's a kid, but the only one i think seriously interested in him in Nodoka. My next guess would be Konoka, though, she seems to like him (then again, she likes everything it seems...)
And i doubt that Negi and Asuna are brother/sister. Isn't Asuna an orphan, and Negi at least one living parent (his dad, i assume, at least)
I hope the anime is good, though...

There are a few clues that show that Asuna and Negi are siblings.
Chapter 54 shows that Asuna may have known Negi's father and traveled with him. Also, in earlier chapters, Negi says that Asuna looks like his sister.

Actually, it's still going in Japan.

Oh thank goodness, cause otherwise i would feel kind of gyped as i mentioned in my previous post. And the fact that i have the Japanese ones 1-7 (which i think is what they're up to, since the store i bought them at had #7 in their new releases section) so yeah...
And that is kind of interesting with Negi and Asuna being brother/sister. Who knows, im sure Akamatsu will think of something good...

In the weekly version, Negima is currently in it's 9th volume with no signs of slowing down.

Volume 9 In chapter 72, she actually smiles and says something to Negi. Also she's an acrobat/jester.

Makie and Ayaka have intrests in him too.

thats good, i hope Negima sticks around for a while.
And good news about Zazie actually saying something and smiling...but still, i want to see her use her powers or something, i can just tell that whatever she does is gonna be cool as hell.
But you may be right about Makie and Ayaka, love is a tough issue sometimes. i know they really like him more than the other students, but i dont know if they like him THAT much...though Nodoka still likes him the most i think...

Ayaka did say that she acknowledged Nodoka as her rival for Negi's love. And she did insist on challenging Fei Ku (who had no clue what was going on) to bowling over it.
Also, Negima fans will be interesting in knowing that the Negima PS2 game comes out in Japan 1/20/05. There will be a special edition for 1,000 yen more that comes with a CD with the Negima Theme Song on it, since the anime starts 1/5.

Chapters 56-58 deal with Makie's crush on Negi. She admits it in Chapter 56.

Thanks for the info, my Japanese is shaky so reading the manga i misinterpret some of the things. Sorry about that
Fei Ku bowling was hilarious though, seeing everyone else's reaction after seeing her score, lol, and her dancing in the background. I felt bad for Nodoka when she bowled, tho, it was kinda expected from her timid personality...
And yeah, the PS2 game looks really cool, looks RPGish, i wish i had a JP PS2, so i could import it, but it seems kinda pointless if i can't play it, you know. I saw a couple screens of it, though, and it looks HAWT.
