Quote: | The brand will feature titles starring actors from their various tokusatsu hero and Kamen Rider hero series... |
This is worded awkwardly. "Tokusatsu" and "Kamen Rider" are not mutually exclusive. It's not like saying "apples and oranges", it's like saying "fruits and oranges."
Perhaps saying "various tokusatsu series, including Kamen Rider" would make more sense?
Also, the "hero" seems redundant, at least after Kamen Rider.

Agreed, Tokusatsu is anything sci-fi or fantasy thats live action
Kamen Rider, Godzilla, Ultraman, Super Sentai, Garo, all fall under the Tokusatsu main genre branch
Also the brands that the actors are going to be chosen from are Super Sentai and Kamen Rider.

Not exactly. A show can be sci-fi or fantasy without being Tokusatsu, or be Tokusatsu without being sci-fi or fantasy. The term refers to the special effects used. Because of the effects, however, most just end up being sci-fi or fantasy.

yea your right, the show mirai nikki has a couple special effects/action stunts and is a mix of sci fi and fantasy but its considered a drama and not a tokusatsu. It's a little bit like porn in that you know it when you see it. Although I think almost all tokusatsu is promoted as tokusatsu now a days.

Correction - Ten Shimoyama directed SHINOBI.
