Coming from a rumor, told to me by a good friend but am still skeptical, FFVII Advent Children set to be released mid to late December this year or Early January next year. I say again, this is only a rumor that was told to me, so feel free to check into it. I myself haven't confirmed it yet, but it could happen.

nah, i wouldnt go that far, from the trailers I've seen its practically finished or already out in japan. now its time for them to dub the life out of it and release it here |

I dont think its out in Japan yet, cause i heard early 2005(not 100% sure). And is the movie even confirmed for a US release? cause i think it would be really expensive to resync the lips for a stateside release(i'd rather have it in subs anyway)

well, the japanese trailer that i have says "Coming Summer 2004", so i think its safe to assume its already been out there for a a while. the US realease HAS been confiremed, and a trailer has been shown at this year's E3 with english narration.
and i think there is a snowball's chance in hell of them redoing the lips for the dub, would cost sh*tloads to re-render the scenes. id rather have it in sub also |

Feh, I'm sure we'll get both, even tho dubbing takes slightly longer then subbing... we'll have the dvd sets soon enough, until then there is always the trailer...

The film is not out for sale yet in Japan and it is currently on the international film screenings circuit. It just aired completely subbed in Montreal on thrusday oct 21st. The film is only 30 minutes though which is quite dissapointing.

I read EGM a while back and they said it would be released sometime in 2005. But, I wouldn't be surprised if that date got pushed back a little (or a lot). |

Actually what aired in Montreal is not the full film. Although that showing was 30 min, the final product is supposed to be between 70 and 80 minutes. |
