It's best to clarify that the Unova Pokedex does not include 300 new Pokemon. It registers 300 Pokemon that are of a different order from the one in Black/White. There are NO new Pokemon.

I'm just a huge Poke-gamer, I know it's all the same, but it's so thrilling! I gave up remembering Pokemon names since Gen III, so from then, I just nicknamed my Pokemon

Yep, since the original Unova Dex only had 156 Pokemon. It seems they're not only including the alternate forms for Kyurem (similar to Origin Forme for Giratina in Platinum), but also Pokemon originally only from the other region Pokedex's. |

Now, how does this translate to a new journey for Satoshi and the gang. I wonder if there's only 2 new Gym Leaders, or if there's more and they only revealed 2. I guess if there's another set of 8 that's it right there. I wonder if the Shitennou changed as well, since we haven't seen any of them yet in the anime, only the champion Adeku. Wonder if N and Plasma is still kicking around as well...
But with the new protagonists and friends, I just hope they don't write Bel out of the show, she's so adorable and easily the best character there. |

Psyched that they included the "Lincoln Tunnel" in on the action to connect Hiougishite with "New York City." A more minor detail at this point, but as noted on Serebii, the Mantine swimming overhead will be a sight to see in these games.
I'm not one to ship, but her and Jun would do very well together

Take my money Nintendo, just take it! I am soooo damn happy right now! I think this and maybe Xenoblade Chronicles are the only two games I plan to buy this entire year! I do love the poison type, I always try to have one on my team, though it sure would've been nice to see a dark-type gym (finally). I don't think there's been a poison type gym since Janine (who was only taking over the gym from Koga anyway). And there's only been one Elite 4 poison (which was Koga) so it's nice to see poison back in the lineup! Been missing since gen 2. The new player characters look younger than BW's. Seems to be the first male without a hat fully covering the head too. But no, what I really look forward to is the expanded Unova-dex. I wanna say 300 will be the largest regional one to date, won't it? (gen 1=151, gen 2=251, gen 3=202, gen 4=210 (in Platinum, 151 in DP, 252 for HGSS), gen 5=155 all according to Bulbapedia, though it says Ranger has 301, but for a not spinoff game, this will be the most). So dex, region changes, gym changes, new cities! It's all just making me want to throw my money at Nintendo! |

Really liking the new character designs; I like them better than the original B/W protagonists. B2/W2 is really turning out to be a solid game, so I'll definitely be getting Black 2 in the fall (since I bought White before).

A few things that need to be corrected in this report.
First, Black Kyurem and White Kyurem are NOT new Pokemon. They ARE new and alternate "formes" of the existing Pokemon Kyurem.
Bad grammar/typos here. There is no ":" or "!" in the titles of the original Pokemon Black Version or Pokemon White Version video games. The only main series game that used anything like that was "Pokemon Yellow: Special Pikachu Edition" for the Game Boy, released between 1998 and 2000 (depending on one's region).
And this wording here, I would say, is simply due to a lack of knowledge. Players (Pokemon Trainers) don't "sign up" Pokemon. A Trainer "catches" Pokemon, and "registers" Pokemon in their PokeDex. Speaking of the PokeDex, another thing that should be pointed out, this also means that the "new" Unova PokeDex will have a different numbering system than what the original Unova PokeDex featured. From what I can find, only three Pokemon have been listed with their numbers so far, consisting of Psyduck (#026), Riolu (#033), and Metagross (#254). Of course, that also would, in theory, mean that Golduck would be listed as number #027, Lucario #034, Beldum #252, and Metang at #253. The last time any of the PokeDex units underwent a facelift like this was with the release of Pokemon Platinum Version back in 2008/2009. |
