All right, I don't know if there's already a thread for this but I haven't found any by checking the first few pages of search, and it isn't in the Official Anime Threads listing either.
I just watched the first two episodes of Detroit Metal City and I have to say, I literally wet my pants. After only two episodes, I wouldn't hesitate to put this one on top of my list of favorite comedy animes. Anyways... I *STRONGLY* recommend the show "Detroit Metal City" if you're not someone who gets offended by vulgar things. It's easy to watch and very light-hearted. It consists of short 12-minute episodes. The story is very original, the jokes are all on the same theme but twisted and really smart, and the characters are all hilarious. Of course, the plot is fairly simple given that they only are short episodes. Enjoy!

I very much enjoyed DMC the anime. It's extremely vulgar, yes, but hilarious all the more. Well, most of the time anyway. There are a couple of episodes in which the humor does fall completely flat, and numerous moments that served to make me uncomfortable when I was meant to laugh, but even so this series had its moments of brilliance more often than not. [Rated the series "Very Good" in the end].
It's a shame that the series spoiler[ends so abruptly], but I still highly recommend it regardless. Like myself, you don't have to be a fan of heavy metal to enjoy this series. It's a no-holds-barred parody. Don't miss it. |

I wonder...when I look at the DMC page, it says 12 episode titles are known (and the fansubs are also only available for those 12). BUT! The page also says that the series is 24 episodes long....
So what does all of that mean :O? also, I just watched the 3rd episode, completely off the hook, I laughed so hard at the president. |

i'd recommend checking out the manga, the anime really didn't go that far into it. still funny though.

Yeah, that's been on my "things to watch" list for quite some time, but I've never really got around to it. From what I've heard it's great. I just need to find the time.
