Just when I think that the only person buying anime for me is just me, a friend at work presents me with the LE Samurai 7 volume 1 with storyboard booklets, and Basilisk volumes 1 and 2. I was waiting on the Samurai 7 boxset but I like the set I got so much I might just pick up the individual LE volumes. I was also planning on starting the Basilisk DVD's after I finished a couple of ongoing series, but this gives me a head start.

I only got a 30GB Zune mp3 player which already has a lot of Japanese music you guys probably have never heard of. I ordered for myself 5 box sets off of right stuf's sale which I might be able to convince my mom to give me for my birthday in February (probably won't get it til then anyway
 )

Not counting the four manga, I got the Magical Play complete collection (2 discs), The Love Hina Christmas Special (For the Win
 ), and FFVII Advent Children (does that count as anime?). Not as much as i expected, considering the size of my christmas list, but I can't complain. It's some pretty good stuff. I've been wanting the Love Hina Christmas special for a long time.

Santa was good to us this year. I got the Witch Hunter Robin collection, Negima vol's 3 & 4, The Castle of Cagliostro, Fummofu thinpak set, the Appleseed movie, & some U.S. animation, The Animaniacs box 1 & 2 & Pinky & the Brain, box 1 & 2.
I bought my daughters anime to fill out their collections; my oldest got My Hime vol's 2-5, & my youngest got Kaleido Star: New Wings vol's 3-6. My oldest also got Bleach vol 1 (she politely didn't mention that we already had a copy, bought on release day) & the Dirge of Cerberus PS2 game. I bought my father The Castle of Cagliostro & the Kino's Journey thinpak set. We also got several Best Buy gift cards, & ordered a whole slew of stuff: Naruto uncut box 2, InuYasha season 3 box, Eureka Seven vol 5, Bubblegum Crisis Tokyo 2040 complete set, Ichigo Mashimaro complete set, Kamichu complete set, & Dominion Tank Police. It was a very good anime Christmas this year.

Some of you guys & gals have had great hauls!
I got the following anime DVDs; Voices of a Distant Star The Place Promised in our Early Days Tokyo Godfathers Cowboy Bebop boxset Last Exile boxset And I also got a My Neighbor Totoro deck of cards, & a packet of Evangelion bath salts, the Rei version; I haven't opened up the packet yet, but I'm wondering if the salts will turn your bath water into the colour of LCL.

My light anime haul: This Ugly Yet Beautiful World (all volumes and the art box!)
Case Closed: Case of the Time Bombed Skyscrapper Gun Sword Volme 4 Hellsing Ultimate Limited Edition (Best Buy version sans the Alucard bust) Fullmetal Alchemist Volume 13 (Now I just need the movie. And for Funimation to license the OVAs.  )
Prize item: A Jigoku Shoujo art book. (First series I ever watched fansubbed. I beg on hands and knees, someone license it and it's sequel! I'm begging!) Most of my Christmas haul was non-anime, a lot of live-action TV box sets (like Battlestar Galactica 2.5) and items for my 3 3/4 inch GI Joe collection.
Congrats on getting the Haruhi outfit! Hope you get a chance to show it off soon because that is a very nice looking cosplay uniform. |
