This ain't it, chief.
This is what, like the third time they've tried to reinvent the wheel on Eureka? The original series was fantastic, it feels so unnecessary and hollow to keep trying to add on to a story that had a perfect ending 15 years ago. If they really wanted to go back to that well, why not go off of the characters they seem hellbent on ignoring from the original? Show us a prequel with Charles and Ray as freelancers. Give us a spinoff on Anemone and Dominic and whatever the hell kind of mutated badger-thing Gulliver is. Make a series fleshing out Holland's time in the military and establishing Gecko State, eventually leading into how his life goes on after the events of the series. Hell, make a 13-episode sequel about Renton's cranky grandpa yelling young people. |

I guess it's interesting that they're bringing back the characters from the video games...if anyone remembers them.

What a weird synopsis. Sounds nothing like the original story and I guess making this movie ten years after the second is an easy way to justify how this movie ties into the end of the second movie because I don’t see the correlation at all.
