Larc-en-ciel is more popular but I like asian kung fu generation (isnt that a funny name
 ) more. I am not too big a fan of this kind of japanese music though. I really am more of a fan of japanese female pop singers  otherwise its all about hard rock (not japanese though although there are some good bands)

lets not forget that most americans are too close minded to listen to music in other languages. they have misconceptions and let it cloud their judgement. people at my last job were amazed when i put some j-rock on the store's radio. they didn't think it'd actually sound like music.
as for potential for breaking into the us market, then, i'd go with AKFG. they're much younger than the guys in L'Arc, and have full careers ahead of them....and a lot of time to learn english. har har. |
