I suppose you got permission from the mods to kick this one off. But I like the system you're using, so as not to create a thread that would be a bunch of one liners and other forum rule breaking material. I have to agree, this hint is a really big one

Judging by your instructions and the way you want this game to go - does this mean that technically, you're the only one who can post in this thread? I mean, You're the one who gave the first question.. Then guesses/answers have to be sent to you by PM, then when someone gets it right you're also the one who will reveal the answer.. And when someone gets it right or when no one gets it right, you're also the one who'll be giving out new questions (so the questions are most likely limited to only the series you've seen)...
Maybe you should change some of the rules so that it's not only you who can post, like the one who got the answer right can be the one to give a new question.. And, one clue per day is kind of hard, since it's going to take too long and might lead to this thread slowly dying...
Just my opinion.. No offense Peace

Uh, yeah, what jetz said. I don't see the harm in letting people post guesses in the thread and letting winners post new questions themselves. These rules need to be ammended, or else the thread will die a quick and painless death instead of a long and dragged-out one.

Quote: | 7. If you wish to submit a question, please also send it to me via private message. The message must include the character, the anime, and the three clues in the order of posting. You will be rewarded one points when your character is posted. But of course you may not participate in that round. |
You see, I did include an option of accepting others' questions so that the questions are not only limited to me. The reason why I choose not to let people post their own character freely is because...if people are allowed to do so, it would then become a mess, with multiple questions going on simultaneously and hard to keep track...I tried this in another forum before...it's really a mess... the same reason for not allowing to post guesses here
One question per day is too slow? The reason why I do this is because so that it would be more exciting (to me at least) to guess a character, with all the different scores... Three clues at once would be easier to guess and maybe attract more people, but it is very likely that the questions run out very soon(it really will...)...not to mention that it wouldn't be fair then to give only the first one that answers correctly the points.
By the way...I admit that I DID NOT get a permission from any moderator to post this thread...I just read the forum rule and made sure it doesn't ban forum game...= ="
And...please don't make fun of the clue...I know it's going to apply to an awful lot of characters in the first or second clues...I'll try to make it more specific (but a lot harder as well) on the first clue next time

If I may make a suggestion to keep this thread from being in the danger zone of getting locked, you may want to consider keeping the font to black. Extensive use of colored font may result in a warning from the mods, and if be, a locking of the thread. I know that this is not a rule, but it has been stated as a courtesy. Will try to think hard when the next hint is due.

Yes, using colors or sizes for emphasis is fine, but there's really no sense in making entire posts in color, so we ask that users stick to standard colors and sizes. (In fact, they removed the buttons for color and size changes on purpose to discourage their use.) For that reason, I removed the darkred colorings.
I'm still not convinced it'll turn into chaos--I've seen similar trivia or "guess the" games on other forums, and they work if you establish the rule that only one question can go on at a time, and only the person who guesses right can post another question, and only after the original asker confirms that the guess is correct. Besides, wouldn't it get tiring to deal with scads of PMs if this game becomes popular?

Don't jump in the fire unless you plan to get burned Zalis. In other words, any and all who participate should do so knowing that if you do win you will be the next in line to receive countless PM's and you'll have to read them in chronological order to be fair. Plus you'll get all the double PM senders along with the hate mail because "person A" knows they sent theirs first and they were right all along. So, how many people still wanna play

What I mean is that posting questions and answers in the open in the thread shouldn't turn into chaos if managed properly. However, this site is generally opposed to "forum games," so if other mods/admins see a reason to lock this down, they can go ahead. I'm not giving 100% approval here.

Well that still makes you the only one who could post technically post here.. Whoever gets the previous question right can post their new question on their own.. About the PMing guesses, well that's seemingly reasonable but I think that you should notify the one who guessed it right first and have him/her post a new question on his/her own..

Generally forum games aren't that exciting anyway.. And I don't think we'll run out of questions right away - everyone has a considerably huge bank of anime knowledge in stock..

Well the only thing I thought about was the actual clues themselves. One per day is fine but giving some super uber general clue will probably lose entusiasm for a lot of people.
