Aside from the fact that I didn’t know that this poll was going on, I can’t vote for what I haven’t heard. I haven’t see any of those series or heard their music (to my knowledge).

I voted for older songs, so, logically, they received not enough votes. Sigh

Did you even see the results? Aside from Oshio No Ko and Frieren, everything on the list ranges from 15-32 years ago, and more than half of it is from the 90s.

Unfortunately we didn't reach statistical relevance in any country other than the US.
I know you're interested in Canada, and the stats are almost good enough for a top 3 in Canada. I'd say there's a high degree of confidence in #1, but not in # 2+ Here's the top 3:
1. A Cruel Angel's Thesis
2. Butter-Fly
2. (tie) Tank

All 3 of those are great.

As in real life, it looks like the Boomers voted the most, given the age of the tunes on the list(sans Idol). Personally, only Tank and Idol from the results would make my top 50 list.

This was definitely one of the hardest polls to vote on

I figured that might be the case. But that's actually still kind of an interesting result!

I'm also going to take this moment to be horribly, disgustingly pedantic and say the title of the song is Rondo Revolution rather than Rinbu. Something something ateji reading, y'know.
At the same time, I'm wounded by no Slayers OPs and absolutely gutted by no Gundam Wing OPs. Two-Mix my beloved... |
Speaking of dubs with Lisa Ortiz, my top vote went to the theme from Lodoss War - Chronicles of the Heroic Knight. While most people prefer the original Lodoss War anime, the theme from the second is, IMO, one of the top ones ever.

Or ANN's readership skews older
(Since y'know, the young 'uns use social media for their news, not websites)

Boomers are, like, 60+ years old at this point. Given the age of the anime on here, you're looking at maybe Gen X and Millennials. Millennials are approaching 40.

Considering the competition, Duvet is freaking KILLING IT. Lain is one of the only properties I anxiously hope to never hear any new projects announced for it

Not surprised by this. Tank! Is more accessible to people who aren't otakus. I am quite shocked that "Idol" is that high though. That's impressive for a show that only came out last year.

glad to see inner universe and utena sneak in, but no dan dan kokoro hikareteku on *any* list seems like a massive gaping hope
