The official box set releases are three sets sith 6, 8, and 8 DVDs each for a total of 22, which is the same as the individual DVD releases.

Thanks but the boxsets that my friend got look so real. Anyways thanks again. Well I guess since it was sold at an asian mall named Pacific Mall which has a rep for selling bootlegs that I shouldn't expect anything more than bootleg.

I think the only DVD releases of Rurouni Kenshin have been the individual DVDs and the "Bento", I think thats what they are called, boxes. I think the brick box sets are scheduled to be released soon starting with the Wandering Samurai Arc next month.

IchigoK - Would it make sense to make two box sets each containing one and a half arcs? Wandering Samurai + First Half of Legend Of Kyoto On One Box Set. Second Half of Legend Of Kyoto + Meiji Era Arc on the Second box set. Not very likely.

I couldn't read the alleged "copyright notice" in the picture, but if it contains a reference to "oil riges," that's another surefire sign of a bootleg.
