I think the series makes the quirks of Holmes a bit extreme but he's still an excellent Sherlock.

This series also has by far the best Watson.

I've read Conan Doyle's original series and also love the Jeremy Brett version. But more Holmes is never a bad thing to me.

Rather stick to the books.

The guy on the right looks sick.

Looks like a cover of a yaoi to me Laughing
I don't know whether it works in manga, you just need Benedict Cumberbatch's supersexy voice for Sherlock's "oh my god, all of you are so LAME (and boring)" type of remarks.

That's why it makes such a perfect adaptation for a manga. I've got a big expectation for this.

Can there be a special crossover chapter with Young Miss Holmes? Or better yet, Tantei Opera Milky Holmes?

Please, Jeeves already exists and is wonderful.

Now can anyone tackle a Two Ronnies manga? Laughing

I would like to see them make a manga version of Doctor Who. Very Happy

Yeah I could see that, I mean the U.S. has a Doctor Who Comic from IDW, and the U.K. has comics in its Doctor Who Magazine I belive, A Doctor Who Manga would be a good way to help the whoovians in Japan multiply rapidly! Laughing Cool

But on the second thought, knowing modern Japanese otaku.... we would probably end up with some creepy Dalek on (insert female companion) tentacle doujinshi...and that would just be...well...quite horrid...maybe..maybe its best if Doctor Who doesn't get big in Japan.

But ahh back on topic, always fun to see Sherlock Holmes get some love, be it the original or a modernization.

Well, I have to say I was not expecting to see this when I first woke up today.

Good move, Japan.

Already done:

"In 2008, a josei manga adaptation of the Jeeves novels, called Please, Jeeves and drawn by Bun Katsuta, began serialization in Hana to Yume's Melody."

The shippers will need to buy a fresh set of pants then. It's an interesting mind that when ever it sees a story with two male characters teaming up for whatever normal reason, right away it visuallises them spending their spare time Dyna-rodding each other's drainage system. Some mother's do have'em. Rolling Eyes

Seems like it'll take a lot of work, seeing as Benedict Cumberbatch is actually kind of perfect in three dimensions.

That and the show has a pretty unique style and is engaging within the television medium in a way that can't easily be recreated by way of paper and pen. It'll be an interesting endeavor, whatever the results are.

spoiler[In other news, I really really need season three. Really.]

Assuming they got permission for this so it's pretty cool that the BBC green lighted this.

That being said I am not really sure Id want to read stories that I already experienced on TV.

As much as I love Sherlock, I just don't know if it would work as a manga. It wouldn't be the same as watching the show.
