Back in 2006 when you became aware of ANN, the news was written almost entirely by Johnathan Mays and myself.
It's also worth noting that while we were both "volunteers" prior to this, we were both being paid in 2006. On the news side, volunteerism basically ended in 2003.

A significant shift may be in regarding leaks, particularly leaks from Kadokawa or affecting Kadokawa

ANN may not want to publish such leaks due to company directives, that other news sites can publish
