When you're excited about leaving work at 8pm.
Oh well, it's still an hour earlier than expected.

I'm done with finals!!!!!!!!!! WHOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! And yet I feel so guilty sitting her at my desk not doing any work. EEK! What has college done to me?! I feel like I've got so much to do. Oh well, best remedy is to pop more anime into my DVD tray.

Hmm, work strories, eh? How's this...
I'm 5 minutes away from going home (at 7:00PM, mind you). I then get paged and have to work on an issue that takes 4 hours to fix! I was excited about going home, too

It's sad when they expand your shift on Saturdays to a 9-hour day when there's not enough to keep you busy already.
...But it's nice when they let you come in late because you're going to the midnite showing of The Two Towers and won't get home til 4 in the morning!

The first post in this thread and a few others here are why I firmly believe that there are others besides myself who are enlightened to the fact that the film "Office Space" is not in any way a comedy. I think the first time I saw it I nearly burst into tears.

I pray for you Judau.
Here are some things I have found that seem to help:
-Prank wars
-Caffeine
-Shared stories about twisted and psychotic relationships
-Shared anecdotes about mindblowing earth-shatterring sex
-Caffeine
-Good speakers/headphones and a nice monitor
-Writings on Zen Buddhism
-Caffeine
-And cigarettes (but if you don't smoke, don't start! oddly however, every I.T. employee I know under 30 smokes)
Good luck to you young jedi...
