Seems like light novels is pretty much dead, looking at the number of "recent" posts in this forum. Oh well, still, let me try my luck.
I'm pretty much into light novels. My favs are Twelve Kingdoms, and Maria-sama ga Miteru. Saiunkoku Monogatari is pretty good, along with Kino's Journey and Trinity Blood. Others I've read include the Opera series by 栗原ちひろ, tricksters series by 久住四季, and Nanahime Monogatari by 高野和. I enjoy stories with character developments and also those with sweet romance. Recommendations anyone? |

I can only recommend you Shounen Onmyouji. Although Animax broadcasted it last year, but i still think that reading the book is better. There are continous series on it.
So, i definitely recommend you to read this series. |

If you like The Twelve Kingdoms, check out the Moribito series, published by Scholastic. You won't be disappointed.

A really good light novel to read would be Sword Art Online. Its about a teenager that's trapped inside an RPG game but don't let that put you off. There plenty of action as well as a fair amount of romance and in my opinion there a good amount of character development as well. Give it a try, you won't regret it.

If they're still in print and available, I'd suggest any of Noriko Ogiwara's books. Viz printed Dragon Sword and Wind Child a few years back, and Tokyopop got out two volumes of Good Witch of the West before they just stopped, but I found her books to be very enjoyable, fun fantasy, all with good amounts of romance mixed in, and great characters. |
