Never played Z.O.E., but is this really what it's like? Anyway, just give us a friggin' remake and/or a collection of Snatcher\ already, Kojima!

It wasn't much of a series, but it had some memorable settings, character designs by Masakazu Katsura, and all sorts of cool weapons.

The live-action movies are the way to go.

Heh heh heh...I've seen that before, but no. It's really one of the most fun mecha games I've played. Smile

Blazblue is going to be awesome.
And with MvC2 going to be on PSN and Xbox Live ...I need to pick up one of these systems already. I'm left in the digital dust!

Fate/Unlimited Codes is getting a U.S. release, only as a d/l for now.

Miami Law looks interesting, but I don't see too many DS games that I'm keeping my eyes on after that, but there's quite a few out now I've been meaning to get to.

Last Bullet's cover does little to set it apart from dozens of other adventure games full of blushing young girls

I though all of the characters in the cover were boys until I read what you had to say about the game.

As one of those 'lunatics who wants physical proof of every game they own', I'm very dissapointed to learn that Patapon 2 is download-only (and shocked that I somehow managed to miss such an important tidbit about a game I want until this point. Confused )

At least tell me the price reflects this? I'm going to be doubly annoyed if the $20 that got me a real UMD of the first Patapon (and more recently, Loco Roco 2) is suddenly only worth a 25- character code.

(And what are they going to do for people with no Wifi to download that on, I wonder?)

I am quite upset about Patapon 2 myself. To show my rage, I'll be giving my money to Sony Europe for a slightly higher for me (when you factor in shipping) import UMD from Europe (since they're still getting a UMD version and the PSP is mostly region free). Or I'll have to wait another 8 months and get it on my study abroad in Germany, but either way, I'm not getting it in America.

I'm with you about art books being a bonus I can't turn down. Heck, I've been tempted to buy games for systems I don't even own (or have any access to) just to make sure I get an artbook. I've also entertained the idea of buying the P3:FES cd/artbook collection from amazon, even though I already own P3:FES. And normally I'm a cheap loser who near absolutely refuses to pay full price for a game, but an art book pushed me over (P4) and my lack of money is the only thing that keeps it from happening more often. Though I'm a bit sore about missing out on Eternal Poison's...

Yay, captions are back up to par this week. I especially liked those for the Zone of the Enders picture and the first Muramasa screenshot.

One thing, though: You wrote that Patapon 2 is developed by Monolith Soft. It's not; it's developed by Pyramid. Maybe that tidbit was left over from last week, when you wrote up Super Robot Taisen OG etc.? (which WAS developed by Monolith Soft)

Surprised there was no mention of Marvel vs Capcom 2 being released on PSN and XBLA this summer, though no HD remixing like with Street Fighter 2. Between that, King of Fighters XII, and Blazblue it's looking to be a summer full of great fighters.

No mention of Tekken 6 and Soul Calibur coming to PSP either?

Hmmm... anyways, only game for me this week is Taisen OG. Possibly Wolverine if it's decent as well. We'll see.

Although I'd never buy that game, hearing the cat meow was hilarious, yet puzzling in its own way. I wonder how the game company brought a live cat into a recording studio and made it meow?

I may be exposing an unreasoned quirk of mine(I've loved the Iria OVA forever for some reason), but honestly? The silly live-action films over the undaring-but-solid OVA?

The deletion of the two garbage men alone puts the anime on top for me.

Somebody told me some time back that Zeiram(or whatever the main villian in Iria is called) was the inspiration of Yoshimitsu from Tekken, because of how the char designer for that game was some kind of apprentice to the char designer for Iria. Is this true, or a load of bull?

Muramasa: Funny you should mention Odin Sphere. I just finished it two nights ago. I'm pretty sure this new Vanillaware product will get rid of OS' issues, such as that slowdown mania that happened when Queen Odette summoned one too many spirits in her boss fight. Oh and you know you want that demonic crotch hair, Todd XP

Nostalgia: Now all they need in their cast is some cool nonhuman (no catgirls please Anime hyper) because artwork that good needs a nonhuman. Definitely :3

Z.O.E.: You know, I seriously lost touch with Enders after the first game. Was the series really any good?

Rhythm de Run Run Run: Ummmm oooookay, what now?

Hyper Iria: Honestly Iria's anime was a great watch. Sad it got forgotten so easily. And the game sounds like it must have been seriously fun if she can use all her weapons from the OVA.
