Probably because the place they're performing in sells alcohol .
And welcome to the forums!

And am I able to go to clubs full of alcohol bars and stoners? I'm only 16. Sheesh. =/
And no. I don't get drunk either. There's some good music to be seen at clubs. All they do is stamp your hand, marking that you're under 21.
Maybe it's just D.C. =/

This is supposed to be a high class club (owned by a couple of actors). I've been to one of those before, and it seems they keep it 21+ for appearances more than anything.

That's why you get a fake id
I've got a pretty Columbia one. Not good for buying alcohol, but it gets you into things like this
I wish they were playing on Friday or Saturday though
((Am I allowed to say this here?))

It is discoraged. And not necessarily smart either to state illigal activities on a public board. =/

It's true - Around where I live you can see some great shows if your 21 or over. Most of the all ages shows are really lame - Simple Plan and garbage like that - and they're packed with like 13 y.o. girls - not my scene.
But back OT, I don't know how good they would be to see. Sure, they've got some catchy songs, but It would be like a Britney Spears or Beyonce concert - just some lady singing over a record. I'd be more interested in seeing somebody that at least plays instruments - somebody like the Pillows. Now that would rock.

Well, I called and they said it's for the fan club, as previously suggested. The fan club is running everything, down to front door access, etc. So I'm guessing you still need to be in the fan club to get in. The guy at the Cutting Room told me to check with the fan club. Being that it's in Japanese, I have no clue how to do that. So maybe somebody else out there knows?

Weird. Do you know anything about the fanclub? Do they have a website or something?

My recommendation is to try to contact AV EXperience. I'm not sure if they're listed though...
I'll definitely try ask about it at A-kon. When I last talked to them at Sakura-Con they said that it would be open to everybody.

Well, I know the fanclub is called Dive At It and the site that you can apply for membership is all in Japanese (I don't know Japanese). But with lots of babelfishing I actually attempted to register, but the online form doesn't accept non-Japan addresses. From what I understand the showing at New York is part of a package for fan club members, and to take part in the package you need to be part of the fan club (you can join the fanclub when purchasing the tour package).
So I'm going anyway. =P I live in L.A. and I'm going to Jet Blue it to NY and see if I can crash it. I heard rumors they are letting fan club in first and if there's room they'll let others in. But a rumor is a rumor and it's not looking like it's true. But I'm going to try anyway. =P
