Miagi, I totally feel your pain. I once purchased a CD from someone named Kahimi Karie (or maybe it was Kirie, but anyway), since it said that she was the "reigning queen of jpop." What I got was someone who strained their voice to Sandy Fox-like heights of squeakiness, laid on top of discarded Pizzicato Five samples or something. It was AWFUL, and I never even finished listening to one song on the album, though I tried to listen to them all. Blargh.

Nami Tamaki isn't that bad for the most part--except in "Destiny," when she simply can't hit some of the higher notes. I've heard she's a great singer-dancer, but on this album, she's mediocre at best.

You should probably decide for yourself ^^

In the studio and on film she's okay (her dancing's pretty stiff though), but she can not hold a tune when singing live. I personally think she was a poor choice for a concert guest at all of these cons.
