Starting Friday April 2nd, "Tamala 2010: A Punk Cat in Space" by Trees of Life will be playing as an exclusive engagement for one week only at Landmark's Nuart Theatre in Los Angeles. information on the screening can be found at Landmark's features and screenings page. The theatre is located in Santa Monica on Santa Monica Blvd just west of the 405. Information on the theatre can be found on Landmark's Nuart Theatre page.
The film has been acclaimed by critics as a surrealistic and non-sensical work of deceptively cheesy musical beauty. The film is for the most part black & white, but is quite clearly executed as Japanese animation which is excessively artsy and apparently drug inspired.
