I really, really want an anime ringtone, but the phone I have is a TRACFONE and it doesn't appear to support custom ringtones, just MIDIs you can download from them. ...So I had to settle for Spongebob Squarepants.

OK, I spent some time on this and figured out the whole VOB > AC3 > MP3 > M4R bit and my iPhone handles these files no problem.
But I also want to upload a ring tone to a Motorola RAZR, and that looks like a real pain in the ass. |

Trust me, it is. Aluminia is my main tone, but I also use D-Technolife. I have as well Haruka Kanata, Go Ahead (Beyblade), the themes from Tenchi Universe and Tokuso Sentai Dekaranger, but I don't use them much. Not anime, but I also have the themes from The Boondocks and Sex and the City. |

Sweet. Looks like you didn't need my help after all! However, to my understanding all models of the RAZR accept MP3 format standard, with an exception in the v3c model that does not support outside ringtones, but chances are good that you don't own that one. If it's like many Motorola phones, though, it probably doesn't support USB transfer. So...you'll need a Bluetooth dongle plug or a friend with Bluetooth on their phone that can put the files on through USB and send them to you. |

It also depends on who your cell provider is in which case you'd have hack your phone, but thats a different topic. As for my phone, I had the first 30 seconds of Gundam X's second theme, Resolution as my ringtone, but now I switch between the form tunes from Kamen Rider Den-O. Mostly Sword and Gun Forms. |

Mine is "Shine" by L'Arc-en-Ciel! People usually don't get it, and ask what language is that? If I answer the phone before the Japanese picks up they usually say something like "Wow who is that?" If I tell them they act really surprised and say something stupid like, "Do you speak Japanese?" Probably because I'm Ukrainian and don't look like I know a word of Japanese, but do I really have to understand it to like it!? I mean I know the translation of the song, but I can't sing along to it, but what does that have to do with me having it as my ring tone!? It kind of annoys me at times, but I don't mind telling them about L'Arc-en-Ciel since they really are a good band.

Mine was Caramelldansen, but that got annoying after a while. Now I want it to be Motteke! Sailor Fuku, but I made the ringtone from Garage Band for my iPhone, and the sound quality sounds pretty bad (the MP3 sounds perfectly fine, but when it's played so loud the sound quality plummets... anyone know how to fix this?). In the mean time, Bouken Desho Desho by Aya Hirano, from The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya.

I have really good sound quality, and none of the stuff I like is on Verizon's music stuff, so... My main theme is the rawest forest song. I have Tori no Shi, too. I wanna make Dondake Fanfare a ringtone sometime!

I've got "Cruel Angel's Thesis" and ""Komm, süsser Tod" from Eva, and "Ready, Steady, Go" by L'arc En Ciel from Fullmetal Alchemist, and "H.T." by Tsuneo Imahori from Trigun.
The Trigun Theme makes a good alarm.
Motorola Phone Tools lets you transfer ringtones to alot of Motorola models. |

I've had Gurren Lagann's Nikopol as my ringtone since I've gotten my new phone, and while it sounds cool, its also REALLY REALLY LOUD, so the music is kinda dulled by the buzzing that happens when you play something so loud on there.

Sure, but I'd probably end up breaking my phone, considering how NOT a morning person I am. You have way more patience with angry-sounding alarms than I. (IMAGINE IT...) Me: *snore, snore, snore* Phone: Ba-ba-ba-badadadaDA da da da da DA duhduh...DAHN DAHN! OH! Pwa-pwa-PWAAAAAAAAAAAAh, Pwa-pwa-PWAAAAAAAAAAAAh! OH! *hiss*" Me: WHAT THE F---?! *whirls around, grabs source of offensive noise and crushes it, then falls asleep again* It's sad, but true. |

I'd never be able to have that as a ringtone. Should I recieve a call without my phone being on silent mode I'd just end up rejecting it and shivering in a corner. Considering how upbeat the song is, such behavior would probably seem confusing to others. |

Just about any anime ringtone above "lullaby" volume would do that to me. Caramelldansen, for example, (even though it's technically not an anime song, it's pretty well known) is the most obnoxious song to wake up to. EVER. |

I sure wish I could make this a ringtone...
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kDQcb2g-c80 ...but my dignity won't quite allow it. I was on the floor giggling for a while, though. Who comes UP with this stuff?! |
