More like "The nightmare of bad Moe anime stealing KyoAni away". The same nightmare that has befallen Haruhi and Sosuke, amirite, folks?

The website now says "503 Service Temporarily Unavailable."
I wonder if she has played a bit overboard this time.

I get the feeling the mangaka is using this incident as an idea for her manga story. But I also wonder if it was all planned out intentionally, though I think a ploy like that would probably piss off and disappoint quite a few fans.

KyoAni's got bigger priorities.
Regardless of the quality of said author's manga, it can't be helped.
I really hope people aren't going to take this so seriously. Yes, it's sad that her manga may never or may take longer to get an anime adaptation now but considering what the studio who was going to be producing it already has on its plate, they, as said in the same thread before, really need to get the other stuff out of the way before tapping into a new show.
It really is just a case of better luck next time.
Hopefully she doesn't take it the wrong way and realizes that... REALLY, they need to finish up things like the Key works and Haruhi, as well as FMP.

Aw, I feel sorry for the manga artist... after all that excitment...
Well hopefully in another year or so they will blow the dust off the project again and make it...

Except that Haruhi is a moe anime.

...It wouldn't kill you to read the novels ya know.
I love statements like these, they always make me laugh. Haruhi is a science fiction comedy, nothing more, nothing less. There's fanservice, yeah, but it's a comedy anime, what do you expect? I can see you identifying Mikuru as moe, but Yui AND Haruhi as supposed to be as well? Feh, try a little harder.
This is at least a show that's attempting to establish a backstory but until Disappearance premiers, we're not gonna dive any further into it.
I may find the show with an unpleasant amount of super fandom, but I am at least going to defend what little dignity I respect it with.

FMP we've more or less agreed is going no where untill Gatoh writes that last book. And Haruhi they're just blueballing for no disernable reason other than to keep shoveing more Key anime in our faces (Which, ironicaly, by the time they stop doing wasting thier time on them they will probably have one 26 episode anime series that is decent enough as a comedy).
I meen I can't wait for Key Anime # 4 or so, this time the girls say something that's even more Retar- er I meen endering as thier catchphrase.

You know, in the most recent Key Anime, none of the girls have those catchphrases.

It's useless to try to convince people to change if they love to hate. Logic is useless. Most of them haven't even seen all of the shows they heap scorn upon, preferring instead to just attack what they see as safe targets then fall upon a "it's just my opinion" statement right after insisting that everyone else should either share their opinion or isn't worthy of having one since they like "moe" in the first place. (The fact that they are rarely all using the same definition of moe only makes the debate less useful.)
Some of them are just protesting too much and secretly love moe. It's fun to guess which are which.
Again, too bad on the anime cancellation. Not my cup of coffee but it sounded like it would probably be different to say the least.

Wow, this thread went in the wrong direction, lol.
But yes, Haruhi is a moe style anime and anybody who says otherwise is in denial.
Also, I'll take 10,000 cute and moe Key shows as well as Tonari no 801-chan over yet another generic mecha show from Japan like FMP. Aren't there enough mecha shows already.
I need my moe.

Er yes both Yuki and Haruhi are so moe archtypes by today's standards.
Yuki - quiet mysterious girl, Ayanami Rei of the 21st century.
Haruhi - tsundere girl.
The current definition of moe in otaku-dom had gone way beyond the original "fragile little useless girl I want to protect" meaning, now-a-days it's just anything that attracts people's affection. Case in point, any of the girls from Fate/Stay Night, Shana etc plus a lot of characters that are physically and even mentally strong are now considered to be "moe" characters. Heck a lot of people considers the girls from Higurashi to be moe, and they're, well, far from being fragile, to say the least.

No, not really. They regularly demonstrate that they have the ability to read and write at a high school level.
