It seems like a shame to waste such a solid cast on this show. I can't see myself watching to check out the dub, once was enough.

Good news for those fans that don't like subtitles.

That's a great cast.

Kind a bummer that this and Gundam G-Quacks got good dubs while Dinner Table Detective...didn't.

Well, I guess they had to do something to try to increase the appeal for the English speaking audience because the show makes little sense according to several commentators here. A dub makes always makes it better... Confused

I heard from other sources that Amazon is seriously entering the anime field... again... but dubbing this thing is even more impressive than their first few simulcast dubs.

I don't know if they can save it but they can't make it any worse. In fact, I'd say a bad dub would be an improvement.

It'll be interesting to see how Amazon will compete against other streaming services in terms of anime content and dubbing, leaving aside anime-centric services like Crunchyroll, Netflix, and even Disney+, have a considerable advantage, I think Prime Video will have to work harder to make up for the lost time. Don't know about Prime Video's English dubs for their anime, but in Neutral Spanish both Magilumiere and Old Country Bumpkin to Master Swordsman were dubbed in BDG in Cuernavaca, Mexico, while Dinner Table Detective was dubbed in Argentina, but I'd say both dubs are fine even if the VAs working on them aren't that well known, Übel Blatt was dubbed in VSI Mexico City, which makes it the first Prime Video anime series dubbed there, so it has a cast comprised of VAs with more experience, though the director doesn't exacly have a great track record directing anime dubs.
I didn't mentioned GQuuuuuuX because I think that despite being distributed by Amazon, I think its dub is being handled directly by Bandai-Namco, in the Neutral Spanish dub credits it mentions both Bandai and Imagica as the producers.

That's a really good point. The Dinner Table Detective dub is pretty rough by comparison, though I'm not surprised that GQuuuuuuX received a good dub given Gundam 's history and track record with dubs.
