I'm going to play Devil's Advocate here (the irony is not lost on me), and say that while it is good that people love their fandoms and are free to enjoy them as long as no one else gets hurt, there is indeed a time, place and occasion for things. Latin Americans are VERY traditional in their religious values, so it's no wonder that a relic of the Spanish Inquisition era like the archbishop was angry.
Honestly, they could've left that for the reception, but considering that Saint Seiya was based on Greek polytheism, while the wedding was Catholic at heart, it makes sense that this became news. And yes, I remember that spoiler[Hyoga was Christian.], but again, TPO. |

Bro, the church had a chance to reach more people, but of course this happening on a one of the most catholic cities in the country of course it was going end like this. What a joke of a country we've become.

Catholic Church now: ***opens more up to today’s culture and kids by blessing the Pokemon Franchise & having own anime figures***
Also Catholic Church: ***thousands of years of persecution non-believers, those going against their teaching/attack those who support things like Abortion, Gender Affirming Care, and LGTB rights and marriage, and proving things like the Earth revolves around the Sun and are now the #1 main anime villain in Isekai/fantasy anime*** |

I mean this was a sacramental marriage happening in an actual church. I don't think it's all that unreasonable to enforce some sort of dress code. If couples want to have a themed wedding at some other venue, they're certainly free to do so. |
