I really hope that the strategy of putting it on pay-to- (sort of) own was a spectacular failure, and that's why we're getting this on CR. I worry that model is going to get tried again with bigger shows.

Toei has already done this with bigger shows like the dubs of Digimon Adventure 2020 and Dragon Quest were released on the Microsoft store before being released on Hulu.

I find it a nice coincidence that not only was Girls Band Cry added to Crunchyroll in different territories, but Crunchyroll also added a Neutral Spanish dub for Bocchi the Rock! without any prior announcement, that was quite a surprise. Both series have to do with girls in a rock band, I hope that if Bocchi received a Neutral Spanish dub it can also get dubbed into English, since I think it doesn't have a dub, and that Girls Band Cry can also get dubbed into multiple languages as well, though I think that depends on Toei
