Man, that's a shame. I was hoping that the timeskip would lead to a new arc, not a rushed ending in two chapters. It's a real shame that Heart Gear wasn't able to bounce back from the mangaka's illness in the same way that RuriDragon did.

I agree. I thought with a timeskip that there would be at least 10-20 more chapters to the story. Judging from the events of chapter 51, it's hard to see how the series will end. Honestly, I would be content with a open ending. Hopefully Tsuyoshi Takaki will continue to draw manga after Heart Gear, I enjoyed his other works, Black Torch and Freaks a lot.

I guess it didn't get that many hits on MangaPlus either.

Really sad.

I think it has more to do with the author's health, since it took two hiatus.
The plot felt rushed after the second one: "Let's close it the best you can in your current situation".

It happened in the same way with Soloist in a cage or
World's end harem ~Britannia Lumiere~
: long hiatus, stories a bit rushed to a quick end after coming back.

It's shame, really enjoyed this series. Great artist and story teller. Loved Black Torch as well. Really hope he recovers and comes back with a huge hit!

Bit of a bummer as I just got into it, but I wish the author the best and hope the ending is at least somewhat satisfying.
