Man i hope it is a 2 cour like season 4, it is based on the same amount of volumes. 3 volumes (but that did not stop season 2 and 3 for just doing a single core). But Season 4 really helped that is a split season and that the author helped with the scripting.
Tho this is most likely gonna be the last season for a while now since they is only 19 volume in japan and this is gonna cover volume 16-18.
Still i am looking really forward to it. Still pissed that the people running the Wikia spoiled this arc and did not hide it and deleted an entire character page. i am not gonna tell what happen. but man i was mad at them, since i normally do not mind spoilers if i searching them out myself. that was not the case here.

Spoilers are a common problem on Wiki sites since they commonly focus on all information available from any source, not just from the anime version.
As for the length, there's no way it won't be two cours. Two of the four longest novels in the franchise are in this arc, and the total page count for novels 16-18 is significantly higher than for novels 12-14 (which were the source for s4). And that's without considering that novel 15 (which is partly but not entirely reflective short stories) can't be totally ignored. I could see its main points being summarized in one episode, but there will be some connective gaps if they try to skip it entirely.

There are still canon story arcs they can adapt if they really want to. Familia Chronicle Episode Freya ties into this arc and Episode Ryu/Lyu which ties into season 4 and this one too. They could adapt both into a single season as side stories. There's also Astrea Record which is easily the darkest arc in the story so far. Theyre spoiled for choice.

So much hype!
- Syr asking Bell out on a date and his Harem reacting!
- The Hostess of Fertility girls in their underwear (with butt shots) gushing about Syr's date! And Ryu having mixed thoughts knowing she now has feelings for Bell!
- Freya Familia!
- Freya intrigue!
- Matsuoka's old buddy Nobu whipping him into shape to be the perfect gentleman for his date!

I am well aware that they take from evey source there is. And normally they will be warnings and stuff for anime only my issue with this case is that is was not hidden.
So they spoiled that Syr was Freya (which was a theory i had from Syr and freya first introducton). and the way this got spoiled was so dumb they removed Syr's entire character page. and it would direct you to Freya page instead. they have since put Syr's page back up but the first line is that she is Freya, and it not hidden in a spoiler or any warnings about spoilers. And also they way it got spoiled was so frustrating, i was doing a quiz and i had to write Syr last name, but i could not recall how you spelled it, so i searched up her name and i only got Freya page, confused i clicked on it and boom, my theory for 6 years spoiled without so much as a warning.

They seem to be using more CG; hopefully it does not ruin the viewing experience. 2 straight or split cours would be nice, but something tells me they are doing one cour. Maybe they do another for Fall 25.

No way could this arc be done in one cour, unless they're only intending to adapt novel 16 and parts of 15. (And while that's not out of the realm of possibility, doing so would require some padding and the name of the arc suggests otherwise.) In addition to the much higher page count, these novels are far more dense on content than earlier novels. I'd bet on two consecutive cours, too, because the first cour would finish somewhere in the middle of novel 17 and there's simply not a good break point anywhere in that novel.
That the producers were willing to commit to two cours up front for s4 - when previous seasons only had one - should be an indication that the franchise is still successful enough to warrant that commitment.

it'll be probably a split cour as S4 was before.

S4 was SO slow-paced. Wish they'd go back to doing 3 books per season. S4P2 in particular was unbearable.

Season 4 was a slow burn, but it is my favorite season because the payoff is fantastic.

Theyve been doing 3 books per season since season 2. Season 2 itself only fully adapted 2 books and a short arc from a 3rd book. Like Key said these vols are just really long

Bell smoking a blunt?
In all seriousness, pv looks good. Looking forward to s5 and hope it's two split cours as this is a long well thought out arc and JC Staff has to do it justice, especially the second half.
