"the future Gundam promises may not be that far off."
This is, you understand, an absolutely horrifying sentence.

Yeah I think Gundam is better off staying fictional.

Which means that future aliens will simply be our spacians descendants. As much as i like Gundam it certainly is better to hold it close to one's heart than in one's hands.

These guys DO realize that one of the OVA's is literally about a terrorist who gets his hands on a Gundam with nuclear capabilities, right?

The reason why Mobile Suits work in the fictional world as weapons is because they are made out of materials that can withstand the most common form of military explosive weaponry, whereas in the real world there is no material strong enough really that would last long.

They also work in the fictional world as weapons because it's a fiction designed to emphasize certain themes and aesthetics.

No one-world governments, backdoor charters, or potentially crippling new world orders, please.

"However, what fans really want to see are the Mobile Suits and some of the weaponry associated with them. "
Nope, I want the colonies.

The whole message of UC Gundam is that all the suit/robot stuff is BAD!!! "The Universal Century from Mobile Suit Gundam may not be that far off" LOL This is the most terrifying statement ever! Have you WATCHED the Universal Century? It is not Disneyland. Having Space Colonies though is a nice optimistic dream lol

Tomino's very anti-space colonies too, actually. The amount of rocket launches required to move mass amounts of people off of Earth would pollute the atmosphere so bad that we wouldn't be able to keep sending people up, I believe is what he said. They certainly didn't work out in Gundam even before mobile suits got involved.

LOL ya, it won't be long until spacenoids start to demand some independence and then our lovely leaders start to attack them. Yup all this is a bad idea
