Is this really much different from The Misfit of Demon King Academy? The setup sounds similar and even some of the artwork looks the same.

To me it looks more like a retread of Strongest Sage With the Weakest Crest, except without the crest gimmick to make it more interesting. The character designs are nearly identical (esp. the MCs), though this series' harem is more pastel in the yellow and red spectra.

I bet you he stays a typical nobody for less then 10 minutes, probably 5 if they skip doing extended flashbacks of his previous life.

I don't mind this kind of power fantasy story, but they're a dime a dozen these days. It really depends on the execution by the animators to help such stories shine beyond their cliched premise. Unfortunately, what's been shown so far does not convince me that this will be any different than its many mediocre predecessors. Easy skip.
