If they've cast someone as Tokiwa, they're planning to adapt all eleven volumes, which is more than twice what they squeezed into the anime.

Wait a sec, is this Kentaro Ito the voice actor or some guy who shares the same name? Since some Japanese VAs also has done movies before, it would be interesting to know this.

Interested but at the same time... do we really need this after the series? I loved that anime and thought rotoscoping was a brilliant change of pace.

The cast should be ugly

The anime was excellent. Still wish it got a second season. Not too excited about the film currently. Most of the cast is too attractive. I don't think Kasuga and Nakamura are supposed to be traditionally attractive. |

They were only ugly in the anime, because the anime was made by inept people. They were just fine in the original manga. Sad how this is going to be one of the only cases of the live-action being better than the anime. |

I just read the synopsis here https://www.imdb.com/title/tt9554316/
These spineless mofos changed the setting to college. On top of that, Takao and Sawa are too attractive, although that was expected: they always do that (how they butchered Hermione and Tyrion in the screen adaptions). |

I thought the anime was great, actually.
I'm not sure about the college situation yet, but it's not like it hasn't worked in other live action movies (ex- death note) |
