When/Where can we vote for the next season's anime to be in the rankings? And how long we got until the options are locked?

The voting for which shows will get Daily Streaming Reviews (i.e. the shows on these rankings, aside from the monthly Fate food short) starts near the end of the preview guide and should show up at the top of the page while voting is open. I’m not sure about the exact amount of time it’s open but IIRC the last one was up for a day or two at least. ———————————- On another note, I’d been wondering what had been going on with Violet Evergarden’s rating but this result seems to explain it. I haven’t been watching it (because Netflix) but I have been following the reviewer and user ratings, in addition to the rankings, to get an idea of what to expect. I had been wondering about the large disparity between the user and reviewer ratings for the 10th episode, so I peeked into the episode review thread - while avoiding spoilers as best I could. There did seem to be some concern about it being the target of foul play, possibly down voting, which Jacob said they would look into, as it has happened before as regulars of this feature likely remember, though not all agreed with that that was occurring in this case. While I wouldn’t go so far as to say this proves it, that VE got the top spot with the apparent user rating that it got seems very suggestive to me that it may have been targeted by such foul play, not that some didn’t genuinely feel that way about the show or episode. |

Oh, thanks! So it is based off previews... Sounds rough. My favorites this season actually were shows I didn't expect to like initially, so I hope I don't screw it up by having a lousy first impression vote. ———————————- Well, I've seen all of them, though I won't spoil. I'm not familiar with these "foul plays"-mechanics, but I'm assuming it's accounts that only down-vote that particular show? If so, then they have got to do that while also only up-voting one or two other shows, if not then VE wouldn't be able to make it to the top? I guess, considering its Netflix affiliation, that it actually might be possible. (It could be private people not liking Netflix for whatever reason, or even competitors wanting to hurt "the newcomer"?) Either way, episode 10 as a standalone was simply a gem (5 stars hands down), so I don't understand why "the community" would rate it so low in that particular case. It could be possible though, I dunno... |

This is weird, i thought Violet Evergarden ep. 10's score was 3.5? That was terrible, but it got 1st place in this ranking.

^Yes, that was the apparent rating, so it ranking first seems to indicate that the rating was the result of foul play targeting it. It couldn't have beaten A Place Further or After the Rain and many others if 3.5 were the legitimate consensus of the users.

Just want some confirmation, but does me voting for only Black Clover and Darling for the reviews reduce my impact on the cumulative ranking? Like if I voted for 6 more shows...would my voting count for more *points*?

I mean I watch more then 2 shows lol. I just stay away from other's impressions to keep myself from having outside perspective affect my experience. It was simple curiosity. |
