I'm just wondering when Discotek can finally save this show from the abyss over here and release better DVD versions than Voyager of the movies and the shows. But I'm not sure that might ever happen.

I wouldn't hold my breath. Personally, I can't see anyone but Funi or possibly Sentai picking up Yamato.

IT is annoying how the series continues to have problems being released over in the US.

I have friend paying big money to import that damn thing for 2 lousy episodes a pop. I dearly love the series, I just can't justify the cost. Frankly how they need resort to calling it Star Blazers and changing names to suite disconnected/lost fans is upsetting.

Eventually, it will make it over to the west. I just wonder how many years it will take it.
They could be getting better money to support the series/franchise if they did.

I only bought the uncut movies and skipped actually buying the Star Blazers series in general. Though Voyager's releases of those are pretty bad also.
