Uma Musume Pretty Derby is without a doubt going to be the best Anime of 2018 I just know it. Also some of those horse girl names are pretty funny though in my experience the best horse names are based off popular song titles.

I would not be so sure about that if I were you. Some anime that have mobage following tend to fail. This one looks like to be joining them, at least for the moment. Having the cast that big can be problematic too. The premise and visual do look promising. And after what happened to Two Car, I will hold back my hype for this.

So, a raising sim/horse race gambling/idol/furry combination. I imagine a committee going over the currently popular trends in anime and mobage and someone saying "why not combine all of them". Lol.

It's Cygames, one of the Japan mobile gaming kingpins. If there is the trend, they're already making money on this.

If you think they did a good job of making those sound like real racehorse names, well, all of them are real racehorse names. 
I love horse names, with my favorites still being Sheeza Breeza (not a racehorse), Thunder Kitten, Kalidasa, and Lady Lingafelter.

Most precisely, they're not just use the names, but more gives the moe-antropomorhication of this concrete racehorces, like KanColle. But hey, why with having all these names, they didn't include in the list the most "anime" EVER racehorse, Just A Way - it's a mystery to me.
