I haven't got around to finishing the first season yet (mostly because I got bored of it in the middle of the series, even though I liked it at first), but hopefully the second season will be interesting.

If there was a little dance emoticon I would use that.

Yeah, I've really enjoyed what I've seen of the series, and the ED is one of my favorite songs--it's so happy and positive.

This news made my day. The first season was one of the best-directed little shows I've ever seen, overcoming its many limitations with intelligence, ingenuity (every time the characters' little visual synecdoches flashed by I had to resist the urge to applaude), and a whole lot of cuteness--a perfect example of artists using the restrictions of their format to do original things. Hopefully they won't get a bigger budget this season; the series could turn into something creepily self-pandering like Minami-ke...
[Wait, I just wished for one of my favorite shows not to be adaquately funded?]
PS: And yes, "Mebae Drive" makes me grin like an idiot.

Yes, you did, but I agree. One of the things I like about the series is the... hard to describe it, but it makes me feel at peace.
I think a bigger budget = more colors = no more of the feeling.

The whole series hasn't been subbed yet as far as I know. Episode 10 is the latest one, after a long hiatus.
Also, yay. One of my favourite "slice of life"s.

This show is full of awesomeness. It's a very relaxing watch, the kind of show you watch one of every couple of nights, you wouldn't marathon it. It's soul food anime, and it's wonderfully made. And Miyako is one of my favorite characters of all time, her energy and comedy blow me away. I hope it gets licensed, but I am not holding my breath. Good to see I'll get to see more of it =)
