One of my favorite composers! Up there with Koji Kondo!
He has that juvenile high school kid feel to it when it comes to his music.

I like his way of thinking! I also like that he admitted that the japanese games are, overall, worse than western ones. Even Namco and Platinum Games had some really mediocre titles. Basically, probably only Square Enix holds his own on the market of real AAA games.

This was a neat little interview, I also found it interesting how he readily admitted the gap between Japanese and Western games.
While I do love Japanese game for their quirkiness and originality, most of them (not all mind you) tend to be lacking in the graphics and technical department.

If you can look past the fact that all they have to their name is Final Fantasy and Kingdom Hearts (though the latter pumps out newer titles at a laughably absurd pace)

regarding the topic about listening games ost while not playing it (on comp, mp3 players), i was once in an online games site and there was some games that allow to upload your files to listen while playing, instead of the default game music...........
