How come Anime Music is usually for pianos? They need more flutes. More or less because I play flute. Or is it the classic more people play piano because their parents made them when they were growing up? I don't know. Hey, if anyone knows where's a good spot to pick up some anime sheet music for flutes, tell me please, and any help is much apriciated!
..........Then again, I could try and learn piano.......... |

It's because [don't qoute me] Pianos make up the main background sound and have a larger varitiy of tone available to them. Then again, what would I know.

piano music is pretty much the same as flute music. if the notes are around c4 (middle c) or below, just transcribe it up. i do it all the time.
www.animescores.com www.ichigos.com there is a small amount of music transcribed for flute, yes, but you're not restricted to just that stuff. |

Thanks Hotaru! Also, while experimenting a bit, I've found that the melody parts of songs work just as well for the flute. Such as White Reflection from Gundam Wing. It sounds nice played on the flute, but, it's pretty hard because of all the evil sharps. But it's all good.

yeah. it gets confusing when you see a# or something that you're not used to seeing. the main theme to ff9 sounds cool when i play it on mah flute.

I never understood what was so hard about sharps, they are just flats of another letter. A sharp/B flat, it's the same note.
I've gotta say this because it's been years. Flutes blow. I can say that, I played it for four years. Ahhhhh, I feel better now. Don't mind me, I'm just teasing. I miss band sometimes. |

Yeah, but the confusing part is seeing the sharps on a different note. Like f sharp=g flat, not used to seeing it like that. Most of the band music I play is in flats.

I tried to play the clarinet once. It took me 45 minutes to figure out I was playing it at the wrong end.

That's okay! I was cleaning out my flute one time, and my middle finger got stuck in one part, it took about ten minutes to finally get it off. Sad part is, I did it a few more times too, and just recently too!

waitamin... you were trying to play from the horn end? I'm just trying to figure out how that would be feasibly possible? Was it your first musical instrument? (with a mouthpiece at least?)
Sorry, I did play clarinet for a few years... I kinda miss the experience. |

I played clarinet too for about four months or something, but it was a bit hard for me at the time to play, so, I kept the flute up. I want to play clarinet again. |

after you've been playing for awhile and you take the mouthpiece out, and shake it, condensation-y saliva comes out. ewwww.
well i'm used to the usual Bb, Eb, Ab; or C#, F# and G#. learning piano, you gotta learn and convert and everything. Fb=E! aaii |

It's worse when it starts coming out of the keys, especially while your still playing. A few times I had to turn my saxophone over and dump it out.

It's funnier to watch the trumpets empty their spitvalves.
