Everyone sounds pretty good so far! I especially like Ami Koshimizu as Yang. She really nailed Yang's hotblooded-ness.
Although I can't say I am particular fond of Ruby's voice. I don't know what it is, but there's just something about the voice that makes me thing it doesn't fit quite right. Maybe I was just expecting something more... squeakier? Then again, I am watching another anime where Saori Hayami plays the lead role and I didn't like the sound of her voice in that either, so maybe I have just some personal, minor qualms about her voice in general. Of course, I'll be sticking with the original English when it comes to watching RWBY so it matters little to me in the long run. |

Only $64 for the special edition and $46 for the standard edition Bluray? That's pretty cheap for Japan prices, definitely going to import this now.

This is probably a product of not being Japanese, but to me they all sound like the same girl doing different voices.

Saying "ORAORAORAORAORAORA" is a lot of fun!
Also, I'm glad they're not dubbing the songs or anything

And yeah, it sounds good, but that's to be expected, right? The original actors were not experienced actors. These guys ARE professional actors, so I wasn't blown away or anything. Yang, however, DOES sound pretty badass

Wow this is so good! They all nailed the voices! Each of them sound do distinctive. Blake & Yang's voices in particular are really great

My personal thoughts on this:
-Ruby sounds a little too mature for her charcter, there are still signs of naivete in her voice but not much -Weiss sounds like the Ojou that I thought she was going to be -Blake still sounds bland to me. I know that's the intent but it's still too flat for it's own good -Yang is basically Matoi Ryoko -So Shinichiro Miki (Urahara Kisuke and Lockon Stratos) and Aya Suzuki (Mankanshoku Mako) are in this? odd but i'm amused - As a Blazblue fan, I'm surprised that Kondou Kanako (Mu-12, Nu-13, Noel Vermilion) is not playing Penny, would fit perfectly but that's me playing conjecture due the similarities in design |

Not sure if Nora's VA is linked correctly. The link in the article goes to an animator, there's 2 animators with the same name in the encyclopedia, neither seems to have done any voice work prior. Given the level of the other VA in this, it seems unlikely that this is a new seiyuu for Nora.
