Yay! Now the wait begins.
They're using the Shonen Jump remake as the base right? I'd have to assume that there's a minimum of 12-13 episodes, possibly 2 quarters if they have the budget.

Please please let it be Sunrise...but actually i'm okay with any studio willing to pay attention to details
i hope the anime will do Murata's art justice. I can't bear seeing One Punch Man's gorgeous art being simplified or less detailed to fit budget or whatever.
For the cast, maybe Takuya Eguchi or Ryota Osaka (if a veteran, then maybe Kenichi Suzumura?) kind of voice fits Saitama's image. Ishikawa Kaito might fit as Genos' VA (rather deep and serious-kind of voice)

I hope they animate Saitama in ONE's style, and the rest in Murata's.

Rather than a series of half-hour episodes, I think it might work better as a series of OVAs like Break Blade or Gundam Unicorn. You won't get an episode every week, but if done well the quality skyrockets into big-budget animation territory.
Also, I'm not bummed Viz decided to forgo the print version because I'm all for saving trees, but I am bummed Viz's version didn't include Murata's spectacular color illustrations that randomly appear every now and then. And the way they handled the double-spreads really takes away the impact, but fortunately stitching two images together is as easy as copy-and-paste. Voila! Custom GN. Moving beyond paper is truly a blessing.

Yeah, there's no way they have enough material for this yet. 90% filler and an abrupt ending out of nowhere? Think I'll PASS.

I need to see who is doing this first. Someone needs to do this artwork justice.

Screw Murata's shit version I want the original it's so awesome and it's way further ahead than the unnecessary snail pace version.
